So, the standard to use is the T-568B for PC's and Networks? Thanks!

cat 5 cabling the only conductors used are 1,2,3, and 6, the rest are not used
The standard cable would have the same wire layout on both ends, a cross over cable would swap 1 to 3 and 2 to 6 on one end
