ok i recently got an old laptop, which is perfect for goin on th internet and not worrying about spyware etc. anyway i noticed that alot of websites i couldn't get onto, such as www.ebuyer.com , were ok on other PCs and not offline as i had thought. whats weird is that i dont the "page cannot be displayed" page, instead i just get a white page with "done" in the bottom left. i viewed the sorce for the site and found it all there, so i decided to try deleting the meta tags from the top of th html, and then i saved it as new.html. this made it work (apart from some pictures which obviously now had invalid URLs). i then thought it might just be my browser not reistering meta tags, so i tried IE7 but that didnt help, so i reverted to IE6, but also alot of email's i recieved in outlook 2002 (outlook XP)also had the same problem, but also similar solutions.
