I use incredimail and have 2 accounts set up in there. I have no problem with NTL one but the onetel account, I can recieve but when I go to send on it says failed to connect to outgoing server. I have had no problems sending these emails until yesterday, I have deleted the account and put it back in but it still won't work

Any ideas

Talk to the ISP. They may have made a change

If you are trying to send to an account that is hosted by an ISP other than which you connect with, they may have put a relaying block in, to help control spam.

Most ISP's have now done this now. It requires the smtp server to be set to that of the ISP you connect with.

Basically you can only use the email server (smtp server) of the ISP that you actually connect with, in most cases these days.

Carrie_UK, I have had the same problem since the same date so I suspect that Onetel has finally blocked relaying after all these years. I have had a broadband connection from pipex for 3 years now and have been using onetel to send mail with since then. However I think I will have to use my pipex mail server from now on unless I can find another explanation. I'm still looking into it and will post back if I hear of anything concrete.
