I am using win 10 Pro on a core I7 laptop and using Firefox browser. When I click an online link that should open a pdf file, nothing happens. I have Adobe acrobat set as the default pdf program.
On a second laptop(core M7), if I go to the same link, the pdf file opens properly.
How do I get the links on computer 1 to work properly?
Thanks for the suggestion. I made the change from "Preview in Firefox" to "Adobe Reader, but still have the same problem. After clicking the link, I do get an abbreviated popup but I cannot get the entire document to display. (see attached file). I also made this change on the 2nd laptop and now it will not fully open the pdf either. And I'm unable to revert back to "preview in Firefox". I have tried opening multiple pdf files from online links but this happens every time now.
Looks like I made a slight mistake, it's not Acrobat, it is Adobe Reader XI that I am using. And when I right click the link, I do not get the option to Save Link As.
Well I don't understand but problem solved. This time when I opened the Firefox settings I was able to change back to Preview in Firefox as the default app and when clicking the web link it opens just fine. One minor point - should I be able to right click a link and see the option to "save link as"?
