Insert disc and select English then install and box appears saying "Epson scan cannot be started.Do you want to open troubleshooting assistant" Press no and another box appears with "Copy Facility" saying " Could not connect to scanner.Check the connection to scanner then select scanner again".Is this facility required for installation of The Sims or is this completely unrelated?This is a new computer but we have already loaded other games without any problems.Also have gone into My Computer to add programs from cd and message reads Windows was unable to find the installation program.Hope you can help.Thanks

Epson problem is not related , click this away,place the sims cd in cd player after selecting language you should come to the next screen and that says install
