i was trying to figure out what was running on my dell windows xp home laptop (im in the USA), and i noticed ssivr32.exe - couldnt find anything about it on answersthatwork or thru a google search. any help? is it a virus? thanks.\

If it was a virus, I would have thought it would have turned up in a google search somewhere, though I can't find anything on it either

One way you might be able to find out, do a file search on it, right ckick on the file - Properties - click on the version tab, and see if there is any info on it...
