Can't find correct mtu

Hello,
I've been having problems with my internet constant change in speed. The connection speed seems to go up to 130mbps and then it's cut back to 72mbp, slowly making it's way back up. Of course this means huge lagspikes on online games, downloads that goes from 1mbps to 50kbps, etc.
The wireless signal is fine (or at least it shows as if it is))
The closest thing I've come to troubleshooting is that it's package loss, so after searching around I tried to change my mtu by using the cmd.exe. Thing is: By doing the testing I found out that no package are lost at 1470, so I set it to 1470 and test it again and packages are lost, so I test a lower number and it works, I set the lower number and stops working, on and on

I'm living in this house where I have no access to the router, so I can only change things on my computer. So is this really package loss? Is there something that I can change? Or am I doomed for the rest of my dreadful stay?

Most of us wouldn't consider 72 Mbps internet access a problem. Who is your provider, and what is the "up-to" speed they advertize?

If you have no access to the router how did you change the MTU? Just set it to the default and you will probably be OK as far as MTU is concerned. Unless, of course, your ISP advises a different value.

It shouldn't be, but it's like the internet drops for a slight moment of time. Windows task manager shows it cuts to 72mbps, but the internet itself is practically off.

I changed the MTU using the command prompt with this line:
netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Wireless Internet Connection" mtu=[value] store=persistent

I've went from the default 1500, down to 1470 before "Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set" stopped, so I set it to 1470, but now the same sentence shows with 1470
I don't know the provider and I believe the speed is 130mbps, that's the highest the task manager ever showed.
