hello

im using windows xp pro sp2
since yesterday Im facing this wired problem
I bought a new computer just two weeks ago
yesterday i was trying to play couple of songs from a specific directory
the first was played the second didnt i checked out why it didnt play the second song
apparently that winamp crashed and taking the whole operating system down with it
after restarting I went to that directory and to my suprise found out its empty
(got no little brothers to blame)
anyway i got pissed and tried to delete it
and then an error msg popped out "windows cannot erase "name" directory isnt empty"
I tired everything
ad aware, mcafee 2006 antivirus full scan , even format and reinstall windows all over again
nothing brought back the files
another problem is that the computer acting very slow all of a sudden
thought its a virus yet mcafee found nothing

suggestions anyone??

I forgot to mention
these mpz i played were played at least 10 times before
and nothing happend
so its hard for me to believe that they are the source of the problem
besides, these softs u recommended on arent even near solving my problem
maybe you miss understood me
im not trying to delete the folder im trying to udnerstand where my files are?
why it takes 2 seconds to enter this empty directory?
and what the hell is this wired error msg i get?
deleting this folder is not the solution im looking for.

Could be hard drive failure. Run chkdsk.
