Can't delete favourites?

In my favourites lists, at the top there are always several favourites folders such as "cool stuff" "travel" "shopping gifts" .. it's not that I delete them and they just come back, but that I can't delete them at all. Right clicking just gives the option of closing the favourites menu and when using "organise favourites" they don't actually appear at all.

Is there any way I can get rid of them?

Sounds like spyware.

Hijack This Log might point out something. Download from here. Not zipped, so you can make a new folder for it and save it there. Close all open windows before running Hijack This. Click 'Do a system scan and save a logfile.' Copy the entire log in notepad and paste it here. Do not fix anything yet because most items are normal or needed. Then hope someone here will analyze the log.

I don't see anything absolutely bad. Maybe others can find something.

These that say "no file" can be fixed - especially if the files actually are missing. Check to make sure.

When you right click other folders in your favs, do you get the normal choice of properties?
