Can't connect laptop to wireless network with key

Hey

i'm trying to connect my laptop to the internet but it doesn't connect to the router even when i enter the correct network key?

my laptop connects to all unprotected networks just fine but when i have to enter a key it never works? this isn;t me trying to rip off internet but when i use the correct key it just says trying to connect then it never does actually connect.

everyone else in the house i'm living in seems to be able to connect to it using the network key but my laptop is the exception?

Have you installed the latest drivers for your laptop? How about the exact make/model of the laptop? Is this internal wireless, or an add-on USB or PCMCIA card?
