Cannot uninstall WMP 11.
Hi. Can someone please help out? I recently had WMP 11 downloaded and do not like it. I have tried to remove it using the Add/Remove from the control panel but it simply does not roll back to WMP10. I have tried several Google searches to see if I can get some on line help but they have all failed. So I am turning to you guys once again as you have come through for me in the past. Is there a way to eliminate this WMP 11 and go back to WMP 10? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Another thing you can try is do a system restore to a point prior to when you installed WMP 11.
This http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 shows you how to restore. When you look at the restore points on the calender it should tell when WMP 11 was installed. That restore point would have be created before the install, so use that one.
You can do it like that or you can do it if you are a user with Administrative privileges, which you probably are in order to install software.rick g. said:"log on to windows as Administrator." - Is this done in the SAFE MODE?

If you have any kind of problem with system restore (and I don't think you will) you can go back into it and undo the restore. Doing a restore is easier than other ways to rollback WMP, which is why I suggested it.
