Hi, i was wondering if i could get more performance out of my PC by running my RAM sticks at their intended speed.
Ever since I first built my current PC till now I've been running my RAM sticks at 2666 Mhz tho they are rated for 3200 Mhz. I'm using a Ryzen 5 2400G and I've seen that these processors benefit alot from faster RAM . The ram sticks are XMP certified tho when I set them to their corresponding XMP profile in the Bios it won't boot, so I've had to dial them down to 2666 , if I go to 2933 or above it gets unstable and games tend to crash every now and then.
I didn't touch timings or voltages as I'm pretty new to this, and I don't want to mess things up.
The motherboard I'm using is a B450M DS3H , tho I've heard it's not so o.c friendly it should support RAM speeds up to 3200 (o.c).
The RAM im using is a 8 Gb (2x4 Gb) set of 3200 Hyperx Predator.
I've looked the RAM sticks on the motherboard's manufacturer's website and I didn't find them in the supported list, I didn't consider this before buying them, but since my PC has been running fine for over a year with this config i wouldn't consider them incompatible.
Here's some more info, in case it might help:
