I'm running XP Home.
I cannot hear music from my MIDI file or from web sites. Sound otherwise OK.
I get this drop down.
"An internal application error has occured."
I cannot think of anything I may have done lately that could have caused this. Anyone have an idea that will fix this?

Go to tools/internet options/advanced,scroll down to multimedia,put a check beside "Play sounds in web pages",click apply,ok.

Let me know if this works for you.

Check in the Sound Properties (Double click on the sound icon in the bottom right or if not there Control Panel > Sound Properties) for the MIDI volume is not down.
