I'm running XP Pro via linksys router and cable modem. After upgrading to Pro certain web sites were no longer accessable such as www.grainger.com and www.chase.com. I set all security to low, flushed cookies and internet files, flushed DNS cache, renamed hosts file to hosts.bak, set all secuity protocols on, and privacy is disabled. Other computers on my network can access these sites. Ping and Tracert give the following error "Unable to resolve target system name www.grainger.com". All ideas are welcome.

Already checked that. All computers on the network are using the same DNS servers. Further testing has shown that tracert on www.chase.com for example gives the error DNS name not resolved. When I try the actual address (170.148.178.10) I can access the site. However for www.grainger.com I cannot access the site via either addressing method. Tracert times out after 14 hops at the grainger server.

Rodney, I have been having the same problem! I already have a thread in here looking for solutions/advice. I have done everything that you have done and then some and still can not access www.nasa.gov
Crazy as it may seem, I am starting to think that my IP has been blocked to this site.
