Hello,

I have been having trouble accessing my favorite webpage, deviantart.com. I have been on the site for about 4 years and have never had this problem.

Everytime I try to go to the site, I get "This Page cannot be displayed." Also, if I go to a search engine and type in "deviantart", I get the same message. However, I can still get to any other webpage, but nothing that has to do with "deviantart".

I am using the newest version of Internet Explorer, and I even tried the newest version of Mozilla Firefox, but no luck. I'm also using McAfee. Cox is my ISP.

I've tried clearing my cookies, files, and the like. And also I've gone through the processes of clearing any possible hijacking, but still, nothing seems to work. Other people seem to be having no problems getting on to the site though.

It's very irritating and I would be very very grateful if someone has a solution.

Thank you

I'm sorry, I can't help you, but I have the same problem and no one will give me a reply. About two weeks ago, all of a sudden I could not access microsoft.com, yahoo mail, and flickr (but every now and then the last two miraculously work, for no apparent reason, and if I try to get on them again ten minutes later they won't load). I've done all of the things that you have, and it's like there's nothing wrong. I'm becoming very frustrated with this--I have to check my email on my phone now, which i find to be extremely annoying.

I'll tell ya right off the top that I'm not really sure what's going on here, but I'm wondering if you'd be willing to try a little something.

@ greentea: either type or copy/paste the following to your browser's address bar: http://198.172.81.21

If this still gets you the "can't be displayed error", then hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will read this post.

If it does get you to deviantart, then try this:

Start > run > and type 'cmd' (without the quotes), then hit enter.
In the window that opens, type 'ipconfig /flushdns' (without quotes), and hit enter.

Then see if you can browse to deviantart normally.

check your browser proxy settings, also i suggest youll try resetting your network settings with winsock xp fix (you might need to reinstall your firewall/anti-spyware apps after using it)
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfix.html , despite of the name,it does with with vista too from my expirience

if that wont do the trick, use opendns dns servers , more information here http://www.opendns.com

good luck
