hey there,

I was trying to install in this game, The even more incredible machine, but whenever i click to use the setup It gave me an error message. It says on the top: 16 bit Windows Subsystem
the error message is:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
Then it gives me the option to 'close' or 'ignore'
I'm using Windows XP and it was recently modified since it was having some trouble. When I click ignore it doesn't do anything and when I click close it does the same. I was wondering if I could install or modify something to fix this problem. I have a feeling that the game is just too old though. I think it's a 1997 game, but not sure.

Go into the Windows folder, there is another folder in there called "repair" which has a copy of the autoexec.nt file, just copy it over the old one in the system32 folder.

Put in your Windows CD
From the command line type:
expand D:\i386\autoexec.nt_ c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt

You can also right click the shortcut and put it on 95 cap. mode
