Can Not LogIn To NT4.0 System

Hello,
I have a Dell Latitude CPi running Microsoft NT4.0 which was a hand me down. The system had been running OK for the last year. I tried swithcing the Networking from a Domain based to Workgroup based with the same user name and the system would not allow me login after reboot. No matter what I do I can not get by the login screen. I was doing this so I could network this machine with my Gateway desktop through a hub. Any ideas how I can get back into my Dell ?

You can't log into the computer with a domain account after you've removed it from the domain. You can only log in with a local account. Do you know the computer's administrator password? If it's a hand-me-down, you may need to ask the person who gave it to you.
Had similar problem with W2K and domain controller with my w2k pro w/stations being locked out, but the opposite way to you i.e. when I tried to join them to the domain....in the end I used a utility called ntrights.exe which I had to run via a command prompt from another PC on the network....it them allowed me to logon the w/s as the user I set via this util....if you need anymore on this util send me a personal message...am new to this forum hopefully have setup my profile correctly to allow this.
