My Yahoo Messenger starts & I can use it. Can not log into my Yahoo Email, photos, 360 or change my Yahoo profile, because it says I have to log in & I keep getting looped back to log in..... over & over. I have tried the long list that Yahoo advised me to try, several times. I even uninstalled Yahoo & re installed it & still same trouble. I tried to send a report to Yahoo thru the Help on Yahoo Messenger & it will not send my diagnostic logs.
After reinstalling, I tried to bring up my Yahoo Email from the 'START' & programs & got this ERROR message. Error Loading C:\PRogra~1\Yahoo!\Common\ymmmapi.dll

Can someone tell me how & where to find & fix this? Thank you very much, Sheryll.

Thank you very much, but can you be more specific? More exacting? Cause Yahoo sent me a two page list of many, many things to try & I have done all at least four (4) times.

Some of that list was to clear cookies two different ways, did those too. Also, can you tell me all the exact Yahoo lists that you added to your trusted sites? Cause AGAIN, I have added everything I can find about Yahoo, to my trusted sites & so far, nothing worked.

I also tried a new browser Mozilla Firefox & checked IE also, neither would let me access my Yahoo Emails.

I still can not help wondering if it is this dll that is the trouble? I have tried to find a site to download & install it again, but so far, everything costs & I have no money to pay for stuff right now. Oh yeah, found a download for that dll, but then they wanted me to pay to unzip it & again, no money. I wonder if I already have a zip program & don't know it? How would I find that out? Thanks again.

Thanks so very much, Sheryll

Hi redoak!

Are you still here? I tried that Yahoo URL & it is a bust. I have to login & I can not login. I keep getting looped back over & over again to login & I can not login. Yet my Yahoo Messenger is open & working?

I think I need that dll installed, but not sure...... I downloaded it, but can not unzip it, the site I downloaded it from wants me to pay them for the unzip & I can not pay.

Hi: I am back after a sojurn elsewhere at TSG. Sorry you can't make use of the link.

Yes, I have a very special place here on earth. I recently placed a conservation easement on it so no future owner will be able to ruin it.

Back again from watering house plants. I will be willing to "forward" your problem to Yahoo support. Just click on my 'moniker' "redoak" and it will take you to where you can send me a "private message" via TSG. Just compose text as if you were sending an e-mail to Y, and I will copy it and paste it into an e-mail I will send off. Then I will post the reply from Y here.

Yeah, but I have tried ALL suggestions (two typed pages) from Yahoo, before I tried uninstalling Yahoo & re installing it...... again........ I think it is the RUNDLL thing. I need help installing this ymmapi.dll

Or that is my last hope.... since that is the error I get now, when I try to open my Yahoo Email from my programs now. Never get it when I try to open from Yahoo Messenger.

Thanks, but I have tried everything Yahoo suggested 4 times in the past, nothing worked, so I am thinking it is the ymmapi.dll

Hmm, just realized something. Depending upon where the file is, you might want to just delete the file all together.
From what I've just read (elsewhere) it could be a trojan.
I would say delete the file and download and install a newer version of yahoo messenger.

Also, why not set up a mail account without going thru 'Messenger?' Go to the Y Home Page and click on Mail. You might even be able to put in your ID info as an existing user and reach your mail account.

I assumed that this is what they were trying to do in the first place. But anyhow, you need to delete that DLL file and download and install the newest Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Then find a free spyware program and check your computer. I have a bad feeling that it may be the problem that you're having login in.

Yes, since the dll is in the Yahoo Common Folder, I deleted the entire folder after the uninstall, reinstalled Yahoo and still did NOT work.... then I did another uninstall & deleted everything Yahoo, except for one other file, that I could not delete (this was after uninstalling everything Yahoo) and still can not login to my Yahoo Email. I have NO problem with Messenger. I still get the Error message saying that dll can not be loaded?

I have a very reputable anti virus & spyware and it says I have nothing in that area wrong?

Thanks again.
