a virus got in my windows media player . because everytime i click on a video file . the windows media player doesnt open . . is there a way i can unistall it and re-install it . and re-download it through shareware.com or something ?

First check your file associations for correct bindings!

After that you may try to Re-install over your existing installation either your same version of WMP or a newer version !

Another alternative is :

for WMP versions 7+ :
go to the directory where u've installed WMP and look for a file called setup_wm.exe
Run that and say re-install all components

That should fix it
