Hello,
I have a laptop without a dvd player, and I want to buy a game which is on dvd.
If I buy an external dvd player and connect it to my laptop, will I be able to put the dvd in there (in the external dvd player) and then play the game on my laptop?
The dvd player which I am planning to buy: https://www.plaisio.gr/tileoraseis/...a-players/turbo-x-dvd-player-dv-hd400_2980061
If this dvd player isn't a good choiche can you recommend me one from this site: https://www.plaisio.gr/ ?
Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the forum, @SophiaMariaGR.

Which game in particular are you looking to purchase? The external DVD drive will work fine, but I'm guessing you'll only have to install the software from the DVD to your laptop and not actually have to run it from the DVD.

In case if you require to have the DVD in the drive in order to play the game you can install a virtual DVD drive on your system and mount the DVD image on that drive. The computer will treat this virtual DVD drive as an actual piece of hardware device.
I think the option of mounting iso images now comes as a default feature in Windows 10. Not sure though, haven't used windows 10 that often.:unsure: (y)(y)

I want to buy sims 4 actually, and you are right about saying that I will have to install it in the laptop.

You're right, Mohit. You can mount ISO's natively in Win 10.
