It would help if you told us something about the computer, the version of Windows, and the exact symptoms. Does the CD appear in My Computer? Do you see any errors associated with the drive in Device Manager?
Can anyone help my with my CD burner... it does not work anymore
I dont know what is up with my CD burner but it stopped working awhile ago. It seems like it is unable to recognize CD's. I am not sure if a setting got changed or if it just broke somehow. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks so much!

You won't have restore points back nearly that far.
Are you saying it doesn't recognize any CD, for reading or writing? Have you tried uninstalling it in Device Manager and rebooting? If that doesn't work, it may have simply died.

Did you try uninstalling and rebooting? If that doesn't do it, please download Nero Info Tool from This Page and post a screen shot of the Drive page.
Well, it's recognized by the system as a CD-R/RW drive, so if it can't write, I'm guessing it's either dirty or broken.
