How did you get from "there to here"?

Actually I got tired of life several times.. I had dreams when I was younger. I just knew I was going to go to the stars or at least the moon. But as usual reality kept in...Darn it...
I just had to adapt. Things don't always work out so, you have to compromise, and there's an element of growing older and enjoying things differently...
(There was a time when I wanted to be the lead on the stage, and now I enjoy my grandson being a not-so-lead on the stage.)
One of the things that has really saved me from being too tired is my guitar...It still sings.
And, I haven't even given it a name....Shame on me...
Okay, away from that bf, are the holidays a drag?

i dunno about "tired of life", but there are parts of it that drag me down from time to time....it's actually the rest of my life during those times that keep me afloat...

Sometimes, I'm tired of a few people's life, the kind of people you won't never miss if they pass away.
BTW, I'm not tired of my life. :)

Live certainly can be difficult at times -- and that can weigh down on you physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am fortunate that I've found I am not as alone as previously thought. Regardless, remember -- this too shall pass. ;)

Have been there done that quite a few times. :(
There is no canned one size fits all answer for that feeling.
One time I just trudged my way through it until it passed, another time someone special passed away and required me to handle all the loose ends and yet another the shrink put me on meds until I said enough of that slow motion feeling.;)
All I can advise is look around you, see all the good you have done, all the lives you have touched, and talk with the people closets to you about how you feel.
Remember no one is an island and the holiday season seems to bring this on at times.

Take care
Dave

As our great American philosopher, Henry David Thoreau once said:

Most men live lives of quiet desperation.

No matter how many people tell you that there is a heaven or hell, in their souls, most people don't really believe it.

Sure...I call them in between times. Though when I'm going through them, they don't feel like that.

First time I've ever heard of ex-wives referred too as "obstacles". :D ;)

Blood-sucking life-force draining leeches....many times.....not obstacles.
:D
