Me an my friend have build a pc we have followed youtubes peoples advice everything we could do. Everything is compatable with each other everything is plugged in right, Yet it wont turn on...The power button on the pc case has its light on. but nothing else is showing it has power, the fans wont turn on or anything, We have held the power button down for 30seconds as well as just 2seconds.

Have you plugged in the power cable from the PSU to the motherboard
Have you plugged the fan onto the motherboard
Do you have a thin layer of thermal paste between the CPU fan and the CPU
Does the motherboard has stand-offs between it and the case bottom
Is the ram plugged in correctly, is it wobbly, because ram has a notch on the bottom and it is not in the center and can only go in one way

First in order to help you, you need to list a LOT more info ie exact motherboard, exact cpu, exact ram, exact pw supply, etc, etc. Do not post 500W pw supply; post the exact brand and model# Do that for ALL of your parts.

Next have you read the guide at the top of the forum for problem builds? If not, do so. If you follow ALL of the steps, you will find the cause of your problem.
