I have been having intermittent BSOD problems for some weeks. A week ago I decided to biute the bullet and reinstall Vista and all my programs. 2 days later it was all done but the BSODs are still occurring. I have run Microsoft memory test and it found no errors - I've also removed and reseated the 2 RAM modules.

The latest I have experienced is
STOP: 0x0000008E (OxC0000005, Ox82A9E343, OxA3BCB790, Ox00000000)

I am running Windows Vista SP1 on a PC with Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00 GHz with 4.00 GB RAM

I would be rnomsouly grateful for any help with this as I really don't know what to try next.

Best wishes.

Nicholas

Good luck with that problem. I troubleshot a similar problem on my machine for months. Using spare parts and other computers, I eventually replaced every single component in my machine and still had the problem. It was giving me errors that led me to believe it was the video card and drivers. Something like atidvl2 or something like that. As a last resort I re-flashed bios to the newest version and have not seen the BSOD since. I also replaced operating systems changing from XP to Vista 32 and 64 bit but that did not fix it, uploading the latest drivers. Bios fixed mine. Good luck with it. You have my sincere sympathies.
