Have a computer at work that got hijacked by about:blank. Here is the hijack this file. Help please.

could you move hijack this to it's own folder so it can make back ups like, c:\ hijack this.

ihm, well there's not much here to look at, your log looks clean, and as you can see , there's no about blank entries!

Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites....

make sure autoclean is enabled on the scans

I see that there are no entries in hijack this, but it's in the registry and every time I open IE it takes me to about blank.

ok, try these tools, this will stop your browser from being reset. set IE to whatever site you want after you have download some or/all of these tools.

Use spybot's immunize button and use spywareblaster' enable
protection once you update it. you can put spybot's hosts file into
your own and lock it. Plus you can also turn on spybot's tea timer
for added protection against pests.

i would also suggest switching to Mozilla's firefox browser, it's safer, has a built in pop up blocker, blocks cookies and adds.

Your browser is opening to about:blank because you don't have a hompage set. about:blank is not necessarily bad. Set your home page to whatever you want in Internet options and your problem should be solved.

Well, I finally got it fixed. It had a homepage, but kept resetting to about:blank, which showed up as a porn search page. Took a little while, but finally dug it out of the reg. Thanks for your help y'all.
