I am having problems when I boot up my machine. When booting it starts to make clicking noises and takes for ever to get into XP. When it eventually does, windows is all over the place !!! for example when I click on a word document about 20 copies of it open!!! The spec is A7N8X deluxe m/b with a 2800 Barton CPU and a 80gig IDE drive. Has anybody got any ideas? please help

whens the last time you defraged your drive? try doing scandisk and defrag, this might help

go to your h/d manufacturers web site and d/l there diognostic program and run it
