Hello, I was just wondering if there was any way for me to take a .bmp file which was scanned and make it all text. There is nothing fancy, just text. I remember doing this a while back, but have forgotten how to do this. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

You need to run it through an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) program. These come with most scanners, but a quick look on Google will find some as well.

Look for SimpleOCR

But the pics must be scanned at 300 DPI for OCR to work. SimpleOCR is free, but not very accurate. You will have to check the spellings after you do OCR on it.
