Hello,
Recently my pc just showed a black screen when waking up from sleep, and i had to restart the pc to get to the login screen. Today the same thing happened, but now i cant get to the login screen even when rebooted.
I have rebooted approximately 20 times, booted in both normal safe mode and safe mode with networking, yet still get black screen. I have tried booting from EFI Device (standard), Hard Disk and CD&DVD with no results. I have also tried going back to an older version of the pc (recovery), but it failed and couldn't load the recovery save.
The pc is old, from 2011/12 i would guess, runs with 8 GB DDR3 RAM, i5 2320 Quadcore CPU, 2 TB HDD and some Acer motherboard (Acer Predator G3610 i believe, not sure). The original GPU was a Radeon, but after about 2 years i switched to a Nvidia GTX 970 (MSI), and had no problems whatsoever. Could it potentially be a faulty GPU? I would find it hard to believe the GPU would break overnight, considering i played 6+ hours of CS:GO yesterday with no problems.. and well.. how does a GPU break overnight when not turned on?
Anyways, any help here is very much appreciated!
