Hi! I'm having problems getting my printer to work. It's a Canon BJC 4300ex. I am running windows 98 and 4300 isn't on my options list on the "add new printer" page. I tried to download a driver, but it wouldn't recognize it . What steps do I need to take in getting it hooked up. Also, is there a difference in 4300ex and 4300? Please help. Thank you!! Chelsea

This may not be what you want to hear, but my own experience
with that 'genre' of Canon Printers led to me just to give up
and switch to Lexmark, Epson, HP. For whatever reasons,
the Canons I've used ALWAYS had problems with the software.
Printer and PC always had problems communicating.

Walmart should run the lexmark 515 or 605 on sale soon.
29.00 and you're free of Canon's problems.
The HP 3320, another inexpensive printer, is worth a try.

Good luck,
-M

[tsg=welcome] Welcome to TSG! [/tsg]

Download the driver for the Canon BJC 2000...it's a much improved driver for the 4xxx series printers (the BJC 2000 is mechnically the same as the BJC 4300).
