You evidently have an Anaheim 3 motherboard. There is a BIOS update for XP, but no other information on the update.

BIOS setup after you flash: http://e4all.freeservers.com/ana3bios.pdf
I would go here and ask about how to do the flash: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/emachineupgraders
The only flash actually on e-Machines site uses a different method from what I am accustomed to. A BIOS flash is something you really dont want to screw up, so find some instructions before you try it.
I would try it only if you are going to buy a new computer rather than bypass the wonders of Win XP. Then you have little to lose if you mess up the flash and render the computer useless as you were going to buy a new one anyway. Im personally going to content myself with Win98 a while longer does everything I need.
