Who manufactured your motherboard? BIOS and ROM Flashing are motherboard specific. If you do not know, DLD and install AIDA32PE from this link
http://www.aida32.hu/download/aida32pe_393.exe
Load it and run. It will tell you manufacturer of your motherboard and board type. Check their site for the downloadable manual. It will have all BIOS information and Flash specifics.

Is there a specific problem that you think requires tinkering with BIOS settings?

XP's HAL can override BIOS settings in many situations so that changing settings is really not advisable unless you have a good reason.

An error in flash updating the BIOS can reduce the machine to recyclables, especially if the BIOS chip is not removable.

Now that the warnings are out of the way, it is probable that a new machine with your processor has a FailSafe BIOS or some other way of recovering from BIOS mishaps.

What specifically would you like to do?
