Make and model of the motherboard or PC would be helpful. WHen flashing a BIOS you need to make sure you have the one specifically written for your BIOS or you will get te example we have here of a boat anchor. A 410 is pretty whimpy, you better use a 12 or 10 guage if you want to do it right.

Before you'll get all T3 on mobo's ***.. :D, try a clear of BIOS ( might work, sure as heck can't do any wrong) or if you happen to have a friend with the same mobo as u do , ask nicely if you could swap your CMOS into his machine ( you'll need to do all this while windoze is up and running). Re-flash ( keeping the fingers crossed ) and once done, take CMOS out and try it in your mobo,
Last resort , ask Aopen for a replacement Cmos ( usualy around $ 25 + shipping)

ok just a note to end this thread, I went in and read the online manual which contained more then the hard copy book for this mother board, I did find that jumping pins would clear cmos and also removing the battery, i unhooked the atx to the board and left it for an hour. I reconnected, reset the jumper and dropped on the battery. Booted to a floppy and ran the dos based flash, it actually worked and came up, i had to reset my values but it did work, unfortunatly the flash did NOT clear up my video problem listed in this hardware section also<is why i started all this> so i went digging further and found out that my mother board was<as they said> not powerfull enough to handle the 5600, I have never heard that before. so anyway. I scrapped the 5600, dropped in the ati 9600 and it's up and screaming. Thank you to all that attempted to help me. I love this forum.
