Two of the best media players as far as I'm concerned.

 

VLC is arguably one of the best free players out there. Not just videos but music files, too. It can play pretty much every format you have. I am very pleased with it.

 

I've been using VLC in Windows, on android (tablets, Kindle and phone) and on my Chromebook. It just works without all the headaches.

 

I agree - VLC Media Player 3.0.18
(select the "Full" option during the install process)

 

VLC gets my vote as well!

For audio, I still prefer WinAmp, though ...
