I lost my norton 2004 disk and i reformatted to accomodate my new motherboard. Now I need a new service to protect me. I want the absolute best top of the line antivirus provider so I thought id get some opinions on which ones are top notch. I never liked norton too much as I had problems getting updates

A lot of people like AVG it is free and does a very good job. I never seen any bad reports on AVG and the members at TSG have given the thumbs up on it for doing a very good job

The one that I use on my home system is called F-Prot and I like it . I have been using F-Prot for 3 years and have not had one problem with updates, or keeping my system clean.

At work I use Norton 2004, McAfee, Sophos, Norman all of these have the ups and down side to them.

At the moment we are all having problems with downloading updates, but for me it is a first.

Generally would recommend AVG !

The one others say is the best at the moment is Nod32 !

I am having a problem as well, also a first for me. Just a server glitch I guess. I've used Norton and it locked up my computer alot, never looked back after using AVG.

I fix alot of different computers and I have found that AVG seems to catch more than Norton or others. The download has been having a problem lately. However, i have found a lot of my clients mad the following error with this solution: If you are not aways connected to the internet, make sure you check that you are on before you hit the download update buttons.
