Hi !

I have a w98se.
I downloaded berlitz interpreter (from several different sources)
scanned with Norton AV 2003, and no problem.

When I clicked on the program to start it, below message is coming
===========================
BERLITZ caused an invalid page fault in
module NVIEW.DLL at 0187:10011d36.

Stack dump:
============================
Berlitz files from different sources (from different web pages)
all give the same fault.

Also causes different blue screens like :

0028: C002CCF5 in VXD NTKERN (01) + 0000B0F9
0028: C02A20CC in VWIN32 (05) + 0000BF4

or freezez the computer.

I can make these files work on my other computer (PentiumII) without problem.

This computer that berlitz does not work in is
AMD Athlon (TM) XP 2200
256 MB ram
Also on the half part of the hard disk, I have wXP profesional installed; SP1

can anyone helpp me why berlitz interpreter is not working on
AMD Athlon (TM) XP 2200 while it works on Pentium II

As english is not my native language, you may see strange sentences above. Just ignore them :)

In the meantime, i found the reason and the solution:
If anyone interested below is the solution :

---------------------------------------------------------------

Problem is in nVidia desktop extension - nView.
In program is incorrect
hook (tweak) - nView item appears in all system menus.
Another program
which would like to make a hook crashes.

Solution: don't use nView hooking-
deletee register key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\nView
"rundll32.exe nview.dll,nViewLoadHook".
