First time poster here. I found your forum because my dad infected our brand new PC with PRCViewer, or something like that and I found out how to get rid of it on here. Thanks so much for that.

Here's my current problem.

When I go to www.hotmail.com to check my email and click on the login button it automatically redirects me to a search page and at the top it says "http://rad.msn.com/ADSAsClient31.dll%3fGetAd%3FPG could not be found, here are some posible matches"

When I try to go to my internet service provider (PeoplePC) home.peoplepc.com to check my webmail there it redirects me to a search page and says, "http://ad.doubleclick.bet/adi/home.peoplepc.dart/home_sky%3Bsz could not be found, here are some possible matches."

This is really irratating and confusing for me. I just want to check my email!! Also, my SpySweeper and MCAfee scans come up clean.

I've already tried that. When I did it, my virus scan stopped working and said it was missing files and the like. So I cancelled the restore. Any other options here?? After I cancelled the restore I finally for all my updates for all my software downloaded and I really don't want to lose them. I have dial-up, high speed is not available in this area right now so it took me hours upon hours to get all my Virus scan and Spy Sweeper updates downloaded.

When I do the restore it messes up my other programs...

Here's is something else going on that may be related to the problem.

I use PeoplePC software to get on the internet. I have had to re-download the program several times due to trying restore points and the like. After I cancelled the restore and went to connect, it connects to the internet and then a BartShellModule error occurs and the window that usually stays open, with my email and settings and such, closes. The internet stays conneted though. Sometimes when I connect it works fine and there is not BartShell error....

Restoring the computer is just going to make the problem worse.. if there is nothing else anyone can think of to do, let me know.

If you are being redirected to search site --it is a security problem , and should be addressed in that forum.
What should be done is --download Hijackthis and post a copy of results of scan to security {do not try to fix anything}.
Sounds like a removal is in order , not a restore. >f

Thanks for the info, if someone could please post the place where I can download the program you mentioned that would be awesome. Then I will run the scan and post it in the security section under this header.

I got the program downloaded and reposted this question in the Security forum as you directed, I think we are currently taking care of the problem there. Thanks for your help!!

Good ! You definately need expert help --your PC is indeed infected.
