before I screw something up question ( dual channel ram)

I am running two sticks of 512 megs each dual channel on an Intel 865 Perl mobo. Being a bit dumb I recently bought a new to me 256 meg 9800XT video card. It has a humongous heat sink top and bottom and won't fit in with the ram where it is. I tried it on my msi mobo, no go and I can't move the ram on that one as my last ram slot is cooked. The Intel board I want to try it on has A0 A1, B0 B1 in that order. I have the ram right now in A0 and B0 to run in dual channel and all is running well. I am wondering if I can move the ram to A1 and B1 with no trouble. I thought I would ask before I start pulling the machine apart since it is working perfectly at the moment, if there is no great chance of this working well then I really don't want to fritz around with it. This is the only way though I could even possibly get this thing to fit in here, and even then I am not sure.
Thank you all very much in advance.

In order for Dual Channel RAM chips to operate as such, they have to be installed in the Dual Channel slots (check your MOBO manual). In any other slots, the Dual Channel function will not work....but the memory will function.
