.avi on dvd

i have alot of various .avi files on my computer and wanted to know how to put them onto a dvd so that they played in a regular dvd player.
If i convert them to movie files, they get massive in size and will each one will only just fit onto a dvd disc, because i have alot of them i need the best way to put .avi onto a dvd without making the .avi huge.

Hope all that made sense, haha
well if it doesn't just ask me to clarify.

I have wayyyyyyyyyyy to many dvd players to change them all for DivX ones. I'll try the above program mattice06082 and see if that works.

Thanks guys....I'll update you on how it all goes.


*In the mean time, any other programs people think will do the job as well, let me know
