Your welcome

Franca, did your system reboot automatically after the update installed like I described in my post?

I tried to update my AVG through the Update Manager a couple of days ago and I got this:

"An automatic connection to the internet could not be established. Please manually establish a connection to download your Update files (this can typically be done by launching your internet browser).

I'm connected to the internet, able to browse normally. Thought it might be my Zone Alarm. But no, it's off. (Never had a problem with it running).

I went to the Grisoft website and downloaded the update manually, then installed it. I was prompted:

"To finish the Update process, it is necessary to restart the computer. Do you want to start the computer now?" [No]

I have version 627. I last updated 3/16/2004. Any idea what gives? Will I have to update through the website from now on, or is this just a temporary hiccup?
