I've been using the AVG 7.1 and earlier free editions for sometime now and have always been satisfied. Now did the program get a lot better for the New AVG 7.5 Pay for edition.

I went on their wedsite and saw they advertised different programs like Internet security 7.5 and then others like Anti-Malware 7.5, Anti-virus professional, Anti-Spyware 7.5, Anti-Virus Plus Firewall 7.5...

whats the deal with all these seperate programs? Does one include them all? Which one was my old AVG 7.1?

I'm under a bit of confusion, appreciate anyone that can clear me up.

I was wondering about the very same thing,I had a message to update Ewido and when I clicked on the link it seemed to be AVG,I found it all very confusing too,so sorry can't help but interested.

EWIDO was acquired by AVG and renamed "AVG Anti-spyware." Right now the version # is 7.5. Yes, it is a bit confusing! You can let it run through the trial period and it will continue to work, but less some features. Namely, automatic updates and "real-time" protection. Updating can be done 'manually,' however.

AVG Anti-virus is a separate, long standing offering. I do not know anything about "packages/suites/ bundles" that may be offered.

Do a Google search for "AVG." You should be able to find many references and download urls.

Do we need to uninstall Free AVG v 7.1 before updating to the new free v 7.5?

You can uninstall V7.1 if you choose but its not necessary. Just follow the instructions posted here http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5.
