OK, one day auto protect randomly stopped working. I get the error in the title when I try to redo it. Everything else works, scanning and email scanning. It's Norton Systemworks 2005. (the AV that came with it). I did everything in the knowledge base 3 times over. I reinstalled the whole program, reinstalled symantec shared files and checked registry. I just don't know.

I ran S&D and it found some stuff, that I removed (except for the stuff it can't remove.) But alas still no autoprotect. My computer loves finding innovative new ways to mess up.

I heard there might be some conflicts in windows that messed with Norton, could that be it? I don't know what would have done it so suddenly. Is there a reletively new virus that could fool the norton online checker? idk.
