Welcome to the forum, @Toriree.

In order to understand better what we are dealing with here, please download and run the TSG System Information Utility on the affected PC, and then post the results back to this thread.
Where does 'IT' show no drivers ? Were you looking at Control Panel > Device Manager ? Or maybe you are looking at the volume control at the bottom right of the screen ? Or were you looking at Windows media player ?

I've looked at all of those with the exception of Windows media player. And I may even tried it and didn't remember.

Well, I guess it's moot point now. I think the whole system just crashed. I had it playing a YouTube video and when I got back to it, the monitor was blank and when I tried to turn it back on, I got nothing. I tried unplugging it and restarting, but I still had a blank screen with a yellow power button. So, I guess I need to just throw it away.

I would say this is premature. Sure, there may be a hardware failure here, but it may not necessitate throwing away the entire system. That may be akin to writing off your car because you got a flat tire.

There are people on here who are very good at walking users through hardware diagnoses, so I would recommend holding on to see if more assistance can be rendered to you.

Might be that the power supply was on the brink of failing, and it just had to go out while you were playing a YT vid. Is your PC a prebuilt or a custom built?

It was prebuilt. It's a Dell if that makes any difference. I haven't even tried to turn it on since it stopped the other day.

So, I did try again and it powered up, but I could not download the TSG System Information Utility. It is in the basmeent and I am not down there much so I will work some more on it one of these days. Thanks for any help though!
