I have scoured the internet for a solution to this problem, but as of yet I've found nothing similar.

Rather unpredictably, be it during playback of video or while playing a game, my audio will "crash" and start looping the last second of audio played before it died. It seems to happen more frequently with video playback, but crashing mid game is not uncommon.

Of note, it causes any sound producing application (Winamp, WMP, etc..) to lock up if run after the audio crash. Closing the program that initiated the crash stops the looping audio, but does not recover the sound playback. Thus far, only a system restart has fixed that.

Running the onboard sound card on a P5N-E SLI. Also running SRS Audio Sandbox because Vista EQ support is horrid. Disabling SRS to see if that's the culprit isn't really an option due to the nature of the problem. I can go weeks without it happening, or it can happen several times within hours.
