OK, I recently re-installed Windows XP. Naturally, I downloaded and installed all of the display and sound drivers, amoung other things.

Now however, only the headphone jack on my PC works. The line out (2nd audio output jack) and microphone jack aren't working. I have tried installing the latest drivers but I still get the same results.

What can I do to get my microphone and line out jacks working?

Specs:

512 MB RAM
ATi Radeon 9250 128 MB AGP Gfx card
AMD Sempron 3000+ 2.0Ghz PRed @ 3.0Ghz
C-Media AC97 Onboard Sound Card
Windows XP SP2

Have you checked all the basic Windows settings / levels / muting etc?

Go to the "Sound and audio devices properties" window, located in the "Control Panel".....
Work your way through all the tabs and advanced menus.

Yep, everything is at full and the way it should be in the settings.

Thanks for replying! :)

EDIT: Just tried out another set of even newer drivers. Still the problem exists. This is the 3rd set of useless drivers I have tried. Any other ideas?
