My speakers are not being detected by windows xp. on device manager it says i need a driver for pci device. I dont know what that is, and how to get the driver. I do beleive this is a driver issue. I have a 945-p ECS motherboard. I had used driver magician to backup my drivers before reformatting, and i used the restore drivers method, but it seems like it skipped a driver or somethin.

Thanks .

you are probably correct in your driver backup and restore
didn't do it all correctly.

if you are using a pci sound card then you need to load
the drivers for it. a cd would have come with the
sound card containing those.

insert cd and run the setup to install drivers.
