Hello:

I am trying to install the "ATI ZORAN SOFTDVD 1.62A" CD for my "Pioneer DVD-ROM ATAPI DVD-A02X 0105" CDROM drive - but when it comes to opening the DISK2.CAB or DISK3.CAB files I receive the following error message . . . .

"WinZip cannot open E:\1.62A ATI\DISK2.CAB because it is not in the standard Microsoft CAB format ( as defined in Mid-1998 ). The SIGNATURE BYTES required by the Microsoft CAB specifications are missing."

MY SYSTEM . . .

WINZIP 8.0
Intel Pentium II, MMX, 300MHz
Windows 95, 4.00.950 C ( USBsupp not-installed )
ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X ( 4.11.2560 ) Video Card
Pioneer DVD-ROM ATAPI DVD-A02X 0105 CDROM Drive
Quantum Bigfoot TX 12GB Hard Drive
DirectX 8.0a

DMA is "enabled" on Hard Disk and CDROM drive.
CDROM driver (MSCDEX.EXE) is "REM" in config.sys and autoexec.bat files.

This "ATI ZORAN SOFTDVD CD" came installed on my computer in April 1998 - but I had to reinstall Windows 95 and all my programs . . . but can't get this ZORAN CD to re-install.

Any idea why I get this error message ??? Do I need to use an "older" WinZip version from 1998 . . . or is this CD corrupted ?

Thank you for any help.

Hello:

I tested my system to see if it was "AGP-enabled" using the program "FINAL REALITY" . . . and it is.

I installed the files "USBSUPP.EXE" and "USBUPD2.EXE" from my Windows 95 CD.

Finally, the "ATI ZORAN SOFTDVD CD" was read and installed.

BAD DVD PLAYER !!!!

Opens to only 40% of my 17" monitor's screen, has tiny white and red pixels moving across the movie screen, and "freezes" my computer after about 3-minutes into the movie.
