Athlon XP Temps

I would like to start overclocking my athlon xp 2000+ t-bred and am wondering about acceptable temperatures. I am currently running between 42C and 44C idle with a mainboard temp of 30C. what temp would be considered to hot. I have 2 80mm fans on back of case along with psu fan and one side fan over my agp slot, using stock heatsink and fan that came with retail chip. also I am wondering how far I could reasonably push my fsb running crucial pc-2100 memory without burning up my dimms.

I do not overclock anything, however I start to worry about temps when they run >55C. Many things affect cpu temp; load, ambient temp, case airflow, how well you tied up the wires and cables, etc.

For the T-Bred, I believe AMD says a max temp of 85C. I would up the fsb by 2-3 at a time and run something like prime95 to stress the system. When you find the point where it starts to produce errors, you can either back off the fsb back to where it was stable or try upping the cpu core voltage and the dimm voltage slightly.
You might want to think about something other than the stock hsf. O'clocking does raise temps. I use Speeze falconrock coolers on all of my AMD builds. They do not cost much and do a very good job of cooling. They use a slow turning 80mm fan instead of the 5000+ rpm 60mm fans; so they are pretty quiet.
