I posted yesterday that explorer.exe crashed on boot. After going to a dos boot sequence and restore file I updated Norton Antivirus and ran it finding a trojan horse Astart.exe. I have not seen it listed anywhere but it's an easy removal once you know what to do. It seems that you are helpless but you're not.
