I recently used a CD to install AOL Version 9.0 on my WinXP desktop. I had no difficulty in installing this updated version on the computer. However, when I next booted up the computer the folowing "Program Control Window" appeared on my screen after clicking on my AOL shortcut icon. It stated: Low Risk 'acsd.exe is attempting to access the internet.' The time, date, and program info also was shown on this screen along with the question "What do you want to do: Permit, Block, or Manuallly....configure Internet access?" The screen also showed "C:\Programfile\commonfiles\aol\acs\acse.exe"

I was not able to access AOL and called AOl's tech support, but no one was able to solve this problem. I suspect the problem may have something to do with my Norton Internet Anti-virus software firewall.

Moved your thread out of business applications and into internet and email. In my humble opinion, get rid of AOL. They're just selling you ads. Get something like www.nni.com, who won't try to limit your internet to all their advertisers.
