start-->settings-->control panel-->Add/Remove Programs-->(Find your browser in the list (Microsoft Internet Explorer) highlight it-->click on add remove-->A pop up should appear with an option to repair internet Explorer, click the circle and then press OK.

Otherwise upgrade your browser.

It may well be a conflict with Internet related software, or even spyware or a virus.

I's not necessarily an Internet Explorer thing.

Please do this:

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#startup , and download 'Startuplist'.

Unzip, doubleclick it, and it will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.

Go to Edit > select all, copy it and post the contents here.
